Sweet Streets Urban & Street Art Festival
This festival picks up where the Melbourne Stencil Festival left off, and includes tours of Melbourne's prolific street art, workshops for beginners, and artists space for you creative types to get involved in the festival. Urban Intervention: Street Sculpture Exhibition and Art Trail
An exhibition and accompanying art trail taking in all things radical when it comes to re-designing (or at least re-badging) our urban environment. This means installation art, yarn bombing, stencils, knit graffiti and anything else that applies punk/DIY ethos to reclaiming our urban environment. The art trail will be available in hard copy or as a Google map, and launches on October 15th.

- Streets and Lanes
- Featuring a performance by the Vasco Era along with an exhibition of stencil and urban art, this event is run by Anglicare AU to raise awareness of youth issues. It's free if you register online, or $5 on the door.
- Funds raised through the Streets and Lanes Appeal will assist in addressing serious issues such as violence, mental health and youth homelessness.

Melbourne Festival
The Melbourne Fest kicked off with a bang this weekend, and features a lot of great stuff. Though not free, "Tomorrow, In a Year" with music by the Knife looks to be a killer event. But scroll to obtain your free fix.
