Free goodness this week (October 18-25)

The Big Reveal

Footscray have completed construction of their Community Arts Centre and to celebrate they are throwing open their doors for a fun-filled weekend of art and entertainment. There's heaps of things on, but the main (free) event features arts workshops, demonstrations, open studios and performances for the whole family.

Though not free, Saturday evening sees a fundraiser event, Show Us Da Money!, jam-packed with more entertainment and a silent auction. All money raised goes to paying for the FCAC fit-out.

Finally there's the exceedingly cheap ($5) The Very West on Sunday arvo, featuring unsigned bands selected by FCAC and St Jerome's Laneway Festival.
